In 1997, the company became a single source supplier to major European car manufacturers and received its first door lock export contract for central locking systems.
The dawn of the new millennium saw Baisch Engineering become a single source supplier of mechanical door locks to a major European car manufacturer (GM – Opel Corsa).
In 2004, Baisch Engineering was sold as a private entity to Formex Industries, which forms part of the HCI Group of Companies. As such, it focuses on the automotive industry and boasts both a strong local customer base as well as growing markets in Europe.
In 2005, Baisch Engineering’s Door Lock Division was awarded the contract to supply door module assemblies JIS (Just in sequence) to DaimlerChrysler on its W204 project.
