Certification

At Formex Pressings, the “Total Quality Management” philosophy forms an integral part of our business management plan.  Formex manufactures products to the highest quality standards and in line with the requirements for the automotive industry.

The Quality Management Systems comply with the requirements of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 and we are certified by the DQS (German association for certification of management systems).

The company now has Ford Q1 Certification

Our Strengths:

Formex Pressings operates as an independent business and is not reliant on any licence/technical agreement. All processes needed to manage projects are completed in-house.

Our strengths are:

  • Strong technical support at conceptual stage to improve product design and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • The ability to design and press components to customer parametric requirements. This includes conducting FEA’s through PPAP delivery.
  • In-house manufacture of all requisite tooling to reduce project lead times and to ensure the best quality tooling to produce the highest quality products.
  • A close working relationship with Nuova Stame in Italy on complex progression and transfer tools.
  • Utilisation of well-maintained, high-tech equipment to ensure the highest quality products as well as consistent supply.
  • Strong, well-trained, experienced and motivated personnel ensure continuous development and the improvement of processes, while consistently striving towards excellence.

Our Achievements in Export Markets:

  • Audi A5 – cones to Katcon in Mexico (GM Supply into the USA)
  • 2nd tier supplier to Toyota Japan - Shells, cones and heat shields
  • Delphi – cones exported to France and Czechoslovakia for GM and Opel
  • Golf A5 – body components supplied to VW South Africa. While some are local, 80% are exported to the Far East and all right hand driver countries
  • Eberspacher – this customer supplies Daimler Chrysler, BMW, Audi, Renault and Land Rover – all into Europe
  • Eberspacher in the USA – export directly cone assembly for the Mercedes Benz M Class
  • Faurecia – cones and shells exported into Sweden, Czechoslovakia and the USA for Volvo
  • Toyota 692N – floor reinforcement and gussets. Toyota has increased its export volumes on this model to 120 000 per year
